  1. What new insights about the Constitution’s development and content did you receive in this lecture?
  2. Compromise is an essential element of the Constitution’s creation. How does compromise an essential element of the both the founding of the United States and the ongoing exercise of leadership in the country?
  3. Why do you think a Bill of Rights – absent from the original Articles of Confederation – is an essential part of the Constitution?
  4. The Constitution was intentionally written broadly and designed to be adaptive and enduring. Do you believe that the founders were correct about this presumption? How has it evolved or adapted?
